This antique Delft tile depicts a covered wagon in blue. The late 17th century (c. 1680) tile is decorated with a sprinkled border in manganese and white. The combination of the sprinkled manganese with white and blue became more popular during the end of the 17th century and during the 18th century. They come with a wide variety of borders, of which this one is quite rare. The tile is in a good condition with a small covered up chip in the center of the right side.
