Overview
This Delft tile dates from around 1650. It depicts a polychrome sighthound at full speed. Sighthounds were often used during the hunt. The tile is decorated with an 'accolade' shaped border and the 'Wanli' inspired corner motif. It is in a very good and pure condition with the normal superficial wear and chips. Note that it has lost some of its thickness as the rear side is chipped.
