Overview
This Delft tile dates from around 1640 and depicts a cargo boat. An interesting detail about this scene is that the boat is probably in the harbor, as it sails are not up. Most Delft tiles with these type of cargo boats depict the boats under sail. The tile is decorated with large 'ox-head' corner motifs and in an excellent condition. Note that it has a vertical baking flaw in the center of the top side.
