This antique Delft tile depicts the Biblical scene in in which Tobit catches a large fish, just after the fish tried to devour Tobit. Tobit is accompanied by Raphael, who encouraged him to catch the fish (Tobit 6 verse 1-3). The tile was most likely made in the Dutch city of Rotterdam around 1740. It is decorated with 'ox-head' corner motifs and overall in a good condition with the normal superficial wear.
