Overview
This 17th century (c. 1650) Delft tile depicts a carpenter wielding an axe and holding a measuring stick. The tile is decorated with 'ox-head' corner motifs and in a good condition. The figure might have been depicted on an engraving by Albrecht Durer (1471 -1528), depicting carpenters building Noah's Ark.
