Overview
This Delft tile depicts a child's play activity that we no longer know today. With a wet piece of letter tied to a rope, the children pulled out bricks from the street. Very annoying for the eldery, who tripped over the holes in the road. At the same time the men who worked on the street, never had to worry about having no job. The tile dates from around 1740 and is decorated with 'spider' corner motifs. It is in a great condition.
