Overview
This man is most likely a travelling peddler, travelling from village to village to sell his goods. He is holding a walking stick, which might tell us something about his age, but also about the distances he covers. The tile is decorated with large 'ox-head' corner motifs and is in a great and pure condition. Note the chip on the lower left corner. The 'stripe' on the right side in the glaze is a baking flaw.
