Overview
The Dutch did a lot of business with the Chinese during the 17th century. So it may be no surprise that they were also depicted on Delft tiles. The overall style of this scene and the way the figures are dressed, gives away that these two figures are Chinese. They seem to be selling goods, such as baskets. The tile is decorated with 'spider' corner motifs and in a good condition.
