Overview
This Delft tile in manganese depicts a shepherd with a tame bird. It might be a bird of prey, although less viscious birds were also very common to have as companion. The tile dates from the 1st quarter of the 19th century and is in a perfect condition. It is decorated with 'spider' corner motifs.
