We love the primitive early 17th century Delft tiles like this one. As thick, heavy and solid as a floor tile with clear signs of its age; 400 years! The tile depicts a sweet looking tulip in blue in the center and is decorated with a jagged diamond square with three dots on each corner. The corners of the tile are decorated with a rare version of the 'fleur-de-lis' corner motif. The tile is in a pure condition with the normal superficial wear and clearly several chips along the sides and across the surface. Note the more significant chip at the top side.
