This is an early 19th century Delft landscape tile with an unusual extra scene of a man smoking a pipe. He seems to be walking home. Looking at the smoke coming from the chimney, dinner is already being prepared. The tile dates from around 1800 and was most likely made in the Dutch city of Utrecht. It is decorated with 'spider' corner motifs and overall in a good condition. Note that the lower right corner has a glued fracture.
