This antique Delft tile depicts a cargo boat under sail. The tile was made around 1660, most likely in the Dutch city of Amsterdam. An interesting detail is that the crew is clearly visible on deck. There seem to be two of them, both wearing a hat. The well-painted scene covers the entire tile, which is unusually large for these type of tiles. The tile is decorated with 'ox-head' corner motifs and is overall in a very good condition with just a small chip on lower right corner and a slighty worn top edge.
