This antique Delft tile dates from around 1660 and depicts a large castle in blue. The scene, in a romantic style, is typical for the production of Delft tiles around this time period in the Dutch city of Harlingen. The tile is fairly thick and comes with large pinholes, indicating that it is one of the earliest tiles made in this style. It is decorated with 'spider' corner motifs and is overall in a good condition. It has an older professional restoration on the top right corner.
