This antique Delft tile was made around 1640 and depicts a musketeer ready to fire his musket. These type of scenes are often based on engravings by Jacob de Gheyn II. A partly matching example can be found here. The tile is decorated with 'fleur-de-lis' corner motifs and is in a fine condition with a minor professional restoration on the lower left corner. The tile has a beautiful glaze.
