This rare antique Delft tile depicts a town crier in blue. The town crier was used to make public announcements in the streets. The tile dates from the 17th century (c. 1650) and it is decorated with the 'ox-head' corner motif. It is overall in a very good condition with just two minor chips on the top corners.
