This antique Delft tile was made around 1660 and depicts a warship with 12 canons. The VOC ship has only partly lowered its sails, telling us that the vessel is probably just leaving or entering the harbour. The tile is decorated with 'spider' corner motifs and was most likely made in the Dutch city of Amsterdam. The tile has a profesionally glued and restored horizontal fracture (height of the stern). Also the tips of the two right corners have been restored slightly.
