This rare antique Delft tile depicts a woman carrying some goods to the market. The large basket she is carrying on her head is stuffed with goods. She seems to be wearing a scale in her right hand, to weight of the goods. The tile dates from around 1640 and is decorated with an 'accolade' shaped border and 'Wanli' inspired corner motifs. It is in a good condition with a minor professional restoration on the top left corner.
