This 18th century (c. 1760) landscape tile depicts one of the icons of the Netherlands; the windmill! What makes this tile really rare, is that it has been painted in a combination of blue and manganese. These type of tiles are only known to be painted in blue or manganese, but not a combination of them. It is therefore most likely a one of a kind fabrication. The tile is decorated with 'spider' corner motifs and is overall in a good condition with the normal superficial wear and some minor chips on the left side.
