Overview
This is a rare antique Delft tile that was made around 1650. It depicts a merman carrying a bow and arrow, who has succesfully hunted a cat-like creature. We know of similar tiles in which the hunted animal were seals, but this animal looks clearly more like a cat. The tile is decorated with a rare version of the 'spider' corner motif. It is in a very good condition with the normal superficial wear and chips.
