This antique Delft tile depicts a coastal village with a boat sailing into the harbor. A man and woman are depicted at the front and seem to be taking a break, while they enjoy the view. The tile is quite thick for an 18th century production, indicating to us that it must date from the first centuries of the 18th century (c. 1720). It is decorated with 'ox-head' corner motifs and in a very good condition with a superb glaze. It was most likely made in the Dutch city of Amsterdam.
