A wonderful antique Dutch Delft tile in blue depicting a Bull Terriër kind of dog. Although the Bull Terriër is a breed dating from the 19th century, the dog on this tile shows incredible similarities. The breed was based on the Old English Bulldog and Old English Terriër. This tile was made in the 17th century in the Netherlands, somewhere around 1640. It is decorated with lilies and balusters in the corners and on the sides. The tile is in an unrestored condition.
