Overview
Wonderful antique Delft tile depicting a large stag in blue. On the top side of the circle, just above the antlers of the stag, a crown in blue can be found. These crowns were only added on tiles made in Rotterdam THey are known as 'Crown tiles', or 'Kroontegels' in Dutch. This tile was made during the first quarter of the 17th century and has Wanli inspired corner patterns. It is in a great condition, without restorations but with some chips along the sides.
