Overview
This antique Delft tile depicts a very rare scene as these two figures are playing a game of 17th century 'golf', known as Kolven. It is an old game, which is very related to today's golf game. The fifth photo shows a painting by Hendrick Avercamp (c. 1625), depicting a game of Kolf on the ice. The tile dates from around 1650 and is decorated with 'spider' corner motifs. It is in a mint condition.
