These Delft wall tiles were made around 1900 and depict colourful scenes of flowers in equally colourful vases. The tiles are decorate with rosettes on each corner, creating a repeating pattern when more of these tiles are combined. The design on these tiles dates back to the late 16th century. Like with many designs they are often reintroduced after decades or even centuries. This is what happened with this design as well, although the influence of the 20th century is clearly there. The tiles are more consistent in their size and the colours are slightly different than the original tiles dating from around 1600. They are great to use for restoration or interior design projects.
