Overview
P-8 series – Small scenes
This series is inspired by original antique Dleft tiles produced in the 17th century. The tiles in the photos are hand-painted on our warm mix base, finished with pinholes and a crackled layer. This is our standard version, though the details like the shade of the tile and the corner motifs can be fully customised to suit your vision. In addition, this tile is also available in manganese.
20 unique scenes
This series is inspired by 17th-century Delft wall tiles featuring small everyday scenes. True a popular style of the late 1600s, the tiles are made without corner motifs, giving them a clean, open look that naturally draws attention to the central scene. The collection includes 20 carefully recreated designs, all based on original reclaimed Delft tiles. Each tile features a small figure or object, from playful figures and animals to cupids, fruit, and peaceful moments. The illustrations are deliberately simple, creating a light and minimal aesthetic that works beautifully in both traditional and contemporary interiors. With such a wide variety of motifs, these tiles form a surface full of quiet charm and subtle detail. And because each one is hand-painted, slight variations in brushwork and detail make every tile unique.
Pinholes in the corners
Pinholes were part of the tile production process before 1860. A wooden board was used to stabilize the clay during cutting, leaving small pin marks - typically two, three, or four. This enhancement can be added to these tiles to recreate this authentic imperfection, contributing to their historic look and feel.
Crackled finish
Crazing refers to the fine network of hairline cracks that appear over time on antique ceramics, including Delft tiles. It occurs naturally with age, but we offer it as an optional finish to evoke the same aged appearance. If you're looking for a more antique, timeworn look, the crackled finish is a perfect match for this series.
