Overview
This Delft tile is known as an 'Archway' tile (in Dutch a 'poorttegel'). It depicts a man resting on a wine barrel. He might be the vendor, or simply someone who needed a place to sit. The tile is decorated with an 'archway' pattern and 'Wanli' inspired corner motifs. It is in a good and pure condition, with the normal superficial wear and chips.
