This very thick Delft tile was made around 1620. It depicts a beautiful tulip in soft shades of blue. When this tile was made, the Tulip was already the symbol of the Dutch. Tulips bulbs became so valuable, that the most exclusive ones allowed you to purchase a manor on the outskirts of Amsterdam. This tile is decorated with the rare 'oak leaf' corner motif and is overall in a good condition. Note that the lower corners have been restored profesionally, just like the the tip of the top right corner.
