Overview
This rare antique Delft tile depicts a town in blue and dates from the 18th century (c. 1760). Interesting details are the city gate, the church, the typical 17th and 18th century architectural styles of the buildings and the monastery on the far right. A traveller is approaching the city gate. The tile is decorated with 'ox-head' corner motifs and in a very good condition with a superb glaze.
