This rather unusual Delft tile dates from the very beginning of the 20th century. It is decorated with the 'fleur-de-lis' corner motif in a very subtle shade of blue. These tiles were made during the industrialization and were therefore no longer painted by hand, but decorated with a template technique. By placing the template on top of the tiles, the paint was sprinked on each corner. The tiles are quite limited in their availability, but great to use for a small and charming tiling project.
