Overview
This is an early 19th century antique Delft tile depicting the Biblical scene in which Jonah is thrown overboard (Jonah 1 verse 15). The tile is decorated with so called 'Quarter Rosette' corner patterns. The tile was probably made in the city of Utrecht. The lower left corner has a chip and has been glued. Also note the chip in the center of the lower side.
