Overview
PCM-03 – Spider
This version of the Spider corner motif is available in Delft blue or custom colors on request. It can be used on plain tiles, combined with decorated tiles, or applied on its own to create a subtle, harmonious design. Its versatility makes it a natural fit for both classic and modern interiors.
The tiles shown in the photos are painted in blue on our Poarte H base shade. Enhancements can be added upon request to achieve a more aged or custom look. Each tile is hand-painted, making every piece unique and crafted with care.

Historic design
The spider corner motif is one of the most iconic Delft corner motifs and remains a popular choice in tilework today. This version, PCM-03, is based on original Delft tiles made around 1900 and is distinguished by its fine, delicate lines. These subtle details give it a softer and more minimal look than other versions of the spider motif.
Corner-only motifs rose in popularity around 1900, and the Spider has continued to stand out ever since, combining historical charm with modern simplicity.
Pinholes in the corners
Pinholes were part of the tile production process before 1860. A wooden board was used to stabilize the clay during cutting, leaving small pin marks - typically two, three, or four. This enhancement can be added to these tiles to recreate this authentic imperfection, contributing to their historic look and feel.
Crackled finish
Crazing refers to the fine network of hairline cracks that appear over time on antique ceramics, including Delft tiles. It occurs naturally with age, but we offer it as an optional finish to evoke the same aged appearance. If you're looking for a more antique, timeworn look, the crackled finish is a perfect match for this series.
