This antique Delft tile depicts two children playing a game of Tip-Cat. It is a type of game that is somewhat related to baseball. You can read more about the way its played and its history by clicking here. The tile dates from around 1740 and is in a mint condition. Tiles without corner motifs became popular during the 2nd half of the 17th century until approximately 1750.
