Overview
This is a very rare set of antique Dutch wall tiles. The tiles can be placed in a horizonal line, creating a sea scenery. The tiles have been prepared to be reused and are therefore suitable to use for an extraordinary tiling project. The tiles are decorated with 'ox-head' corner motifs and depict all kinds of sea creatures, such as a perch, shrimp, crocodile, frog and more. There is also a fishing boat (trawler / dogger).
Set
These tiles are a set, meaning that they have been together the past centuries, are mainly of one firing and were made by the same pottery and possibly even painted by the same painter. It makes them very consistent in size and overall style. We prefer to sell this set as a whole, although significant numbers can be discussed.
