These are beautiful hand-painted Delft antique wall tiles depicting the diamond flower motif, dating from the 19th century. Each tile depicts a stylised floral composition placed within a diamond-shaped frame, painted in a variation of manganese tones. The corners are decorated with a stylised interpretation of the fleur-de-lis corner motif, creating a harmonious and decorative pattern when multiple tiles are installed together. The design reflects a long-standing Delft tile tradition, as similar diamond-framed floral compositions were already popular during the early centuries of Delft tile production, though their appearance evolved over time.

Originally these tiles covered entire walls in the living rooms of farmhouses, making them quite frequently available in significant quantities Nowadays they are often used for restoration projects, classic interiors, or as a decorative feature wall, panel, or accent installation in a more contemporary setting. Wherever used, they bring a sense of history, colour and refinement to the space.

Condition and preparation

All tiles are reclaimed antiques and are prepared for reuse. They have been cleaned, desalinated and any soot residues have been removed. Each order is hand-selected to ensure a harmonious appearance in colour tone, glaze and surface character. If your project requires cut tiles, designated tiles with more visible imperfections can be supplied at a reduced price, helping preserve intact historical tiles.

Tile variety and stock

This collection consists of repeating ornament tiles that form a balanced and decorative wall composition when installed together. Representative images provide a clear impression of the variety within the design. Availability may vary. Complementing tiles

In addition, pairing them with plain white antique tiles (witjes), both first and second quality, can introduce visual balance or framing within the overall composition.

Our secure checkout processes most credit cards, PayPal, iDeal and several other payment methods. In general these type of orders are shipped the next working day. As soon as they do, you will receive all the details from us to track the progress they are making.

Shipping and packing
We ship solely with premium partners such as DHL Express and FedEx Economy/Priority. Based on the delivery address, value and weight of the shipment we choose the right carrier to work with. Each shipment is fully insured and prepared with all the required documents to pass customs when ordering from outside the European Union. All our tiles are extremely well packed. We use heavy-duty cardboard boxes for small orders. Larger others are packed in wooden export crates with multiple layers of protective foam.
Product disclaimer
Antique tiles
Antique tiles are handmade, so variations in color, size and texture are to be expected. Also, due to the age of the items, small chips and signs of use are common and considered to be part of antique tiles and the overall experience. Our tiles have been rinsed and cleaned intensely, making them suitable to be reused. However, we can never guarantee that all traces of sooth, salt or other forms of pollution have completely been extracted from the tiles. We expect our customers to be aware of this matter.
