Overview
Poarte – F is one of nine shades of white we developed, featuring a subtly blueish tone inspired by reclaimed antique Delft tiles. This newly made tile allows you to recreate the classic look and feel that Delft tiles are celebrated for. Alongside our other white shades, Poarte – F serves as the foundation for arranged mixes and series of hand-painted decorated Delft tiles.
Poarte – F is part of the following arranged mixes: the blue mix, the claes mix, and the all-in mix. Of course, you have the freedom to create your own combination or simply use a single shade for a more uniform look.
Pinholes in the corners; pinholes pay homage to traditional tile-making methods used before 1860, when clay tiles were cut with the aid of a wooden board and pins - leaving small marks at the corners. By replicating this process, we add two pinholes to each tile, preserving the authentic, imperfect charm of original Delft tiles.
Crackled finish; crazing, or a network of fine cracks, can develop naturally on antique ceramics over time. Choosing a crackled finish recreates this aged, imperfect appearance that many consider essential to the antique Delft tile experience. Whether you prefer a smoother surface or want the added character of crackling depends on your personal taste and style goals.
